SharePoint – How to share files Go to Your List or Library Navigate to the SharePoint site. Open the list or document library which you want to share Select the document you want to share Hover the mouse towards the document and click on 3 dots. Select the option share Select the options to shareClick on Copy Link or you can click on Gear Icon for more options Sharing Methods Select any option according to the requirement You can also select the option if the other user can view or edit the file Additionally, you can select the link expiration date Sharing Options: People in ThrivePass Shares the document with anyone in your organization (ThrivePass). Users must be signed in with their organization account. Good for internal sharing across departments. Only people with existing access Doesn’t change permissions. Just gives a link to people who already have access. Useful when you want to resend the link without modifying access. People you choose Lets you select specific individuals to share the document with. You can enter their email addresses. You can also control whether they can edit or just view. Additional Settings: Can edit (checkbox) If checked, recipients can make changes to the document. If unchecked, they can only view it. Set expiration date Limits how long the link will work. After the selected date, the link will stop working.
